Unsupervised driving rules Learner's Permit Holders may only drive when supervised by a licensed driver, age 20 or older, with at least 4 years of driving experience, sitting in the front passenger seat.
Passenger rules Learner's Permit holders may carry NO passengers, except for a licensed adult driver who's at least 20 years old and has 4 years' driving experience.
Other Driver education or home school driver education is required for applicants under 18. Applicants who have not completed driver education have a 6-month learner permit holding period.
