A companion to learning behind the wheel
The original Driver Ed DVD brought driving demonstrations, explanations, and review activities together in one video course. It was designed to complement practical instruction, with sections students could replay until they felt more familiar with each topic.
The program combined live-action scenes with 3D animation and interactive quizzes operated with a DVD remote. A study guide, road-sign recognition, alcohol and drug awareness, and bloopers added different ways to review the material.

Know your vehicle before you drive
The vehicle-maintenance section introduced routine checks such as tire pressure and oil, along with signs that a vehicle may need a mechanic’s attention. Driving demonstrations covered tasks such as backing up, changing lanes, managing space, and parking.
Learn from the on-screen mistakes
The original video followed four students—Jill, Collen, Peter, and Dana—and an instructor through driving situations. Scenes used common mistakes, including missed stop signs and cutting off other drivers, to illustrate what to watch for before practicing in a car.
