JDMAR Driving And Traffic School FAQ’s
Is JDMAR Driving and Traffic School a certified driving school in California?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer driver training courses in California. We highly recommend that you contact JDMAR Driving and Traffic School directly or the California DMV to find out for sure if JDMAR Driving and Traffic School offers behind-the-wheel training courses that have been approved by the State of California.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for enrolling in a professionally-taught driver training course. We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
Do I need to tell JDMAR Driving and Traffic School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to operate a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a stick-shift OR and automatic-shift car! We recommend that you ask JDMAR Driving and Traffic School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you enroll in their driver training course.
I live in a small rural community, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my driver training with JDMAR Driving and Traffic School include being taught how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for urban driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area. Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from JDMAR Driving and Traffic School will include handling dirt roads and mountain driving.
I'm turning 14 in a few days. Can I get a learner's permit to drive in California after my 14th birthday?
Most likely, no. Most states (though not all) have laws which require that you be at least 15 or 15 1/2 before to be eligible to apply for a learner's permit. Nevertheless, you may wish to contact the California DMV office or a California-certified driving school such as JDMAR Driving and Traffic School to find out for certain what the minimum driving age is in your local area.
Do I have to complete a Bellflower California drivers education classroom course or online course before enrolling in one of JDMAR Driving and Traffic School's behind-the-wheel training courses?
Each state has its own laws, but most states will require first-time drivers to take both a behind-the-wheel training course plus either a defensive driving classroom course (which are about 30 hours in length) or an approved online drivers education course. You may want to ask JDMAR Driving and Traffic School if they offer one or both programs.
I'm required to take a driver training course in Bellflower California. Do you know if JDMAR Driving and Traffic School offers defensive driving classes in Bellflower California?
Yes, JDMAR Driving and Traffic School does offer defensive driving courses in Bellflower California. For more information about their class schedule and how/when to enroll in one of their behind-the-wheel training courses, please contact JDMAR Driving and Traffic School directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a California driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to register for both a behind-the-wheel training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course. You may wish to contact the California DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is hands-on driver training required in California in order to be licensed to drive a car?
Absolutely. All new drivers in California must enroll in an approved driver training course before they can get a license to independently operate a motor vehicle.
Can I enroll in a California-licensed behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my California learners permit yet?
Most likely, no. Most states have laws that mandate a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a California instruction permit before registering in a California driver training course. It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as JDMAR Driving and Traffic School and ask for more information.
