A-Ace Driving School FAQ’s
Is A-Ace Driving School an approved driving school in California?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer behind-the-wheel training courses in California. We highly recommend that you contact A-Ace Driving School directly or the California DMV to find out for sure if A-Ace Driving School offers hands-on driving courses that have been approved by the State of California.
Do I have to take a driver training course? Can't my parents just give me my behind-the-wheel training?
There are some states that do permit parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required driver training in order to obtain a driver's license.  However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught behind-the-wheel training course. We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding behind-the-wheel training.
What happens if I don't know how to drive a stick-shift vehicle? Will A-Ace Driving School allow me to do my driver training with an automatic-shift car?
Considering you're a brand new driver, you probably don't know much about driving any type of vehicle--manual-shift or automatic-shift! However, if you prefer to complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle, you should contact A-Ace Driving School and inform them before you enroll in their driver training course. That way you will know for certain if they will accommodate you.
I live in a small mountain town, where there are a lot of small, unpaved roads. Will my behind-the-wheel training with A-Ace Driving School include learning how to drive in rural areas? Or do they just offer training for city driving?
Most local driving schools will likely want their students to be taught how to drive safely in the local area. Therefore, chances are good that the behind-the-wheel training you receive from A-Ace Driving School will include handling unpaved roads and mountain driving.
I just turned 14 years old. Am I eligible to receive my instruction permit in California?
Probably not. The minimum age requirement for holding a learners permit in most states is 15 1/2. You should contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as A-Ace Driving School to find out more information about the minimum age requirement in California.Â
Am I required to take a El Cajon California classroom or online drivers education course before I can sign up to take a driver training course through A-Ace Driving School?
This requirement varies from state to state but most states do require new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course. You should ask A-Ace Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course in El Cajon California. Can I meet this requirement by registering with A-Ace Driving School?
Yes, A-Ace Driving School offers drivers education courses in El Cajon California. You will need to contact A-Ace Driving School directly to get more information on the types of courses they offer and when to register for a class.
How do I obtain a drivers license in El Cajon California?
In most states, pre-licensed teens are required to complete both a classroom safe driving course and a driver training course. A-Ace Driving School may be able to help you fulfill the behind-the-wheel training portion in California.Â
Is there a law in California that says I have to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes. State law in California mandates that all teen-agers take an approved behind-the-wheel training course before receiving a California driver's license.
Is it all right if I sign up with a driver training school like A-Ace Driving School prior to my receiving my learner's permit?
In most states, you are required to have already gotten your learner's permit before you enroll in your driver training course like the one offered by A-Ace Driving School. We suggest you contact either A-Ace Driving School to find out more information.
